When calls come in to the Family Helpline no one is turned away and we do not time limit.

We help as many callers as possible by listening to their problems, providing valuable emotional support, exploring options with them and enabling them, where possible, to take further action themselves.

Our extensive database allows us to offer details of local and national organisations, plus many other kinds of support groups, who may provide help in other ways.

About Us:

Our charity helpline began operations in July 1994, as part of the Safer Surrey Partnership.

Originally called Parentline Surrey, in April 2000 we changed our name to FamilyLine Surrey, thus becoming a Family Helpline for anyone in need of emotional support who lived or worked in Surrey and the surrounding counties.

We recently changed our name to FamilyLine in September 2011, while retaining our charity status, we also became a company.  More...
