FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Why was FamilyLine set up? Because there are many people with no one to talk to or who do not like to share their problems with family and friends.

How do I know my call is confidential? Our helpline operators do not ask your name or any of your personal details and we do not exchange information with other agencies.

How can the helpline operators help me? By listening and encouranging they can support you during life’s challenges.  They will not judge you and they will give you time to talk through all aspects of your problem.

Can you give me advice? The helpline operators cannot give advice, but they do have access to a large database of local and national resources, specialist organisations and local support groups who are able to give you advice on many issues.

When is the helpline open? Our helpline is open from 9am to 5pm weekdays.

What if I am not able to call during the day?   Our NEW for 2010 evening helpline support team are able to call you back any weekday evening after 5pm.  Please Call or email us to request an evening Call Back.
