We help many of our callers by listening to how they are being affected by the behaviour of others. We help callers by reassessing the factors affecting their lives, empathising, encouraging and strengthening them to deal with the difficult situations they live with on a daily basis.
Although Family Helpline operators cannot give advice, they have access to a large database of local and national resources, specialist organisations and local support groups who can give you advice on many issues. We may be able to identify other organisations on our database that are geared to offering the specialist support and advice to both individuals and families who are being affected by the behaviour of another.
